2026 Yonex Canadian Masters Championships a Tremendous Success! 🏸

The 2026 Yonex Canadian Masters Championships have officially come to a close, and what an incredible week it was for the Masters badminton community here in Kelowna.

From exciting matches and memorable social events to outstanding sportsmanship and community spirit, the tournament was a tremendous success. We received countless positive comments from players and visitors who were impressed with both the event and the welcoming atmosphere at the Kelowna Badminton Club.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our volunteers, sponsors, and organizing committee members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes throughout the past many months.

A special thank you goes to our organizing leads, Lyndsay and Denise, whose dedication, countless hours of work, and leadership helped make this event such a memorable experience for everyone involved.

The tournament also brought tremendous success for several Kelowna Badminton Club players.

  • Lyndsay Thomson & Jody Patrick – Women’s Doubles 45+ Champions 🥇

  • Neil Ward – Men’s Singles 50+ 🥈

We would also like to mention several KBC players who captured consolation titles (bronze medals) during the tournament:

  • TK Hirose – Men’s Singles 30+ Consolation Winner
  • Arman Chowdhury – Men’s Singles 35+ Consolation Winner
  • Colin Comfort (KBC alumnus) – Men’s Singles 55+ Consolation Winner
